Nåväl - jag var tvungen att dra gränsen nånstans, och det jag tror kan vara användbart har jag sparat. När man kvistat av det ser det dock inte mycket ut för världen, men jag tror nog att man kan få ut en och annan långbåge.......och en jävla massa armborsbågar.

Det jag sparat är ca 35 stammar/grenar som är mellan tre och fyra meter. Ingen är givetvis rak, men alla som inte åtminstone var handledstjocka i rotänden har rykt, och alla som hade mindre än metern mellan förgreningarna rök också förutom det som kan anses vara stubben.

En och anna kortare och smalare har jag också sparat därför att de är relativt raka ock kvistfria.

Nå - vad ska jag göra med dem? Helst skulle jag vilja kränga rubbet på en gång så får bågmakaren behandla virket på det sätt han själv anser vara bäst.

60 cm bitar kan användas till knivskaft, alt splicas till armborstbågar. Defenitivt värt att spara i allafall.

För att kunna förvara dem vill jag gärna kapa dem, men jag vet inte hur långa ämnena måste vara för att kunna vara till användning.

[?]<b>Hur kort vågar jag kapa? </b>
De kortaste störarna är ju två till tre meter och de längsta är nog drygt fyra - det blir lite ohanterligt när det är så mycket virke.

[?]<b>Vilken diameter är minimum?</b>
Jag har säkert drygt 20 ganska smala vidjor som är fem till sex centimeter vid basen och givetvis tunnare mot toppen två tre meter längre upp. Var sätter jag gränsen för vad som kan gå på komposten som ris?

[?]<b>Är stubbarna intressanta att spara - de är ju tjocka, men korta?</b>
Jag har ett par korta stubbar som bara är runt 60 cm, men ganska tjocka med mycket virke.

Jag har en massa 35-årig idegran i olika längder och bredder som jag sparat då jag tänkte att någon bågtillverkare kanske är intresserad. De längsta störarna är nog drygt fyra meter och diametern på virket varierar från ett par centimeter upp till närmare två decimeter. Ett tiotal fyrametersstörar är dessutom ganska raka.
