Jag kan försöka beskriva det. Spjutet är grovt, precis så att man når runt skaftet. Det är grovt hela vägen, och längst fram är en smidd hylsa där spetsen sitter, den är bred och tveeggad, dessutom ganska grov, lite rombisk rakt framifrån.

En bit ner på skaftet sitter en metallring fastkilad, den har två "vingar" eller spetsar som sticker ut nästan en decimeter på varje sida av spjutet.

Jag skulle gissa att hela spjutet är kring 2 m

Deras beskrivning var "glaven?". De hade dock katalogiserat den som yxa. Datering saknades. Nån som har en bättre idé om vad det skulle kunna vara?

Nej, det är det inte!
Fyndet från Husaby finns för övrigt att beskåda i Skara.
Det är även samma som jag nämnde ovan ang jaktvapen.

Personligen tror jag knappast heller att konstnären skulle ha känt till dem... Vi har 2 käller till de vapnena som är kända.
Dolnstein och fyndet från Husaby.
Sen finns det en väggmålning i Finland som skulle kunna vara ett sådant vapen. Har dock inte mer info om det än en bild plus kyrkans namn....

De vapnena är sannolikt sent 1400 tidigt 1500. Dock finns det så lite info att det är svårt att uttala sig. Om det är en skandinavisk modell av vapen för ex björnjakt så finns ju definitivt chansen att de använts tidigare. Dock är ju en hel del av målningarna gjorda av folk som inte var med i strid så.......

De brukar kallas 'stridslie' här i sverige, men det är mig veterligen en sentida typologisering. Även Glaf och glefe, men det känner bara jag till från 1600-tal.

Hmmm är det en glaive?
Vet inte riktigt när det kom, men den ser mer 1400 tal ut...

Är inte herrarnas klädsel lite för mycket 1400-tal? Det är dåligt med kjortlar på bilden, ser mer ut som alla har hosor och doublet.

Personligen gillar jag tavlan, synd bara att så lite är korrekt för Visby 1361.
