Jag har sett några brynjor som varit öppna, men för att en museumtyp har valt att montera den för display med öppningen framåt betyder inte att den var tänkt så...

Min brynja kommer att vara öppen. mest för att jag reenactar den period där det börjar bli så mycket vikt att man måste jaga ner kilona lite.

Jag tror nog att det är som Raymund säger här. Det går väl i linje med modet, och som ofta hänt efter min tidsperiod dvs 1350...

Här finns också Churburgbrynjan med snöring i ryggen. Sen har jag ytterligare närbilder som visar lite spännen som sitter fast i brynjor, kan tyda på öppning fram.

Omlottvarianterna verkar vara ordentligt omlott så det blir dubbelt lager framtill vilket ger extra skydd. Hade inte tänkt att lägga till några ringar förhoppningsvis. Den där lyxbrynjan jag talade om finns också med där...

Jag har sett en furstlig ringbrynja från Polen eller ungern med ädelstenar och hyskor och hakar framtill. Ska se om jag kan finna en bild. Det verkar lite om att det är lite av en öststatsgrej kanske??

Jag funderar på att göra om min ringbrynja så att den får spännen framtill. Är det någon som vet under vilka perioder som detta använts? Jag är mest intresserad av tiden 1340-1350 om det finns belägg runt denna tid.
