altså, jeg bor muligens i fårenes hjemland, men det er ikke akkurat tjukt av dem i osloområdet. det der er vestlandet og oppe i fjellet og sånt. har ingen aning hvor det finnes, faktisk. Jeg er jo en bygutt!

Halvor, du bor i fårens förlovade land! Dessutom börjar höstslakten precis komma igång. Gå till närmaste gård och be snällt, det är många som slaktar hemma och då gräver man bara ned "restprodukterna". (Såvitt jag förstår det är också skinnet en restprodukt i Norge, även från tjusiga får som spelsau och villsau. Det är lätt att råka plocka på sig lite för mycket!)

Och jo, ordet var stenhård! Den slaknar iofs i fuktigt tillstånd, men då angriper också möglet direkt!

bitarna skrapar man bort. Det smärtar mig att erkänna det, men om man tar
bort testiklarna och bitestiklarna är det nästan bara en skinnslamsa kvar.

Men måste du inte garva på något sätt? om du bara skrapar och låter stå, så är det fortfarande "kött" och kan ruttna. Eller? Det känns som om den annars är rå och kommer att bli sur vid kontakt med någon väta e.d.

Någon specifik tidsangivelse på när man började använda fårpungar på detta vis hade hon inte men däremot på när man "slutade" vilket skulle ha varit nån gång på 1920-30-talet.
