kan fråga Eva-Lena Karlsson, ansvarig intendent för porträttsamligen som borde veta. jag frågade henne för ett tag sedan om tyska kvinnoprträtt från sent 1400- tidigt 1500-tal. dessvärre var hennes svar ganska nedslående, mest för att det målats relativt få kvinnoporträtt från denna tid... ett litet tips på vägen som hon dock gav var:
"Den enda bra illustrerade bok jag kom ihåg på en gång är Lorne Campbell, Renaissance Portraits, New Haven - London 1990. Vad gäller tyska kvinnoporträtt före 1500 kan de illustrationerna dock tyvärr räknas på ena handens fingrar hos en erfaren sågverksarbetare. Boken har dock en omfattande bibliografi, som kanske kan ge några tips"

tyska porträtt/målningar/föremål/byggnader kan man även söka i den nationella databasen bildindex (innehåller större delen av tyska statens digitaliserade samlingar):

Likaså kan man ta en titt på Jost Ammans [url="http://inky.library.yale.edu/medwomen/fashion.html"]Frauentrachtenbuch[/url] från 1570.
Något man skulle vilja är ju att Statens porträttsamling gav ut en bok med sina 1500-talsporträtt, men vad jag vet finns inget sådant.

Texten är inte direkt fantastisk i sina tolkningar (fast det är kul att se hans fördoam rom kvinnor coh icke-germaner), men det finns bra bildmaterial även om reproduktionstekniken inte var så avancerad i början av 1900-talet.

Boktips 2: Bonadsmåleri i Norden, Maj Nodermann 1997.
Bilder på folk behöver inte vara porträtt... De flesta bonaderna målades efter förlagor från kontinenten vilket gör att man inte kan påstå att bevarade bonader från 1500- och 1600-talet visar "svensk" dräkt (hos adel, präster, borgare) eller ens bondedräkt. Å andra sidan är mode någonting nyckfullt som lånar här och hittar på nytt där... De svenska bygdedräkter som bevarat det nordeuropeiska/tyska renässansmodet mest är de sydskånska. Kanske finns något skrivet om dem?

Mitt problem är att jag hittar inte någonstans information om 1500-talets kvinnodräkter. Det finns få kvinnliga porträtt, och de jag väl lyckats hitta är bara överkroppsporträtt. Dessutom verkar det som om svenska kvinnor i adeln inte var särskillt intresserade av mode, eller rättare sagt, jag har bara hittat några bilder på drottning Kristina, och hon var ju som bekant ofta klädd i "manskläder".
Så vet någon vart man hittar bra info och svenska 1500-tals kvinnokläder???
