I denna skrift står det att du först ska väva några inslag innan du börgar att varpa och att du sedan ska avsluta med ytterliggare några inslag.

Min erfaren het är att om du brickväver med ull så låser sig trådarna snabbt i varandra och det är svårt att repaupp någon längre bit. Men om du använder annat matterial så sä bör du nog fästa ändarna bättre tex med knutar, söm eller rurrning.

Vad galler klippningen beror det pa hur du tynger din varp. Om du har kraftig varp som inte kraver valdigt latt strackning kan du klippa och organisera dubbla (eller fyrdubbla for den delen) rader vikter. Annars kan det vara sa att du behover ha sa manga tradar per vikt att du maste vikta gemensamt. Det funkar inte att ha dubbla rader, eftersom du da drar tradarna sa valdigt i sidled att du far ett 'randigt' tyg. Du skoter skalen med skalstickor, inte med hangningen. For skalningen rekommenderar jag Lejre upsattningen med 'gaffelpinnar', atminstone om du tanker ge dig pa kypert.

Har inte uppdaterat sidan pa lange, men pa min hemsida hittar du en link till vart vavningsprojekt (http://www.forest.gen.nz/Medieval) som har blivit nagot av en saga - oerhort komplicerat av att befinna sig sa har langt fran alla kallor till bra ull. Det ar ullen och spinningen som ar nyckeln till ett framgangsrikt vavprojekt, det har vi konstaterat bortom allt tvivel. Gute ar ett fantastiskt far!

Och om jag i min tur har fattat rätt (har aldrig gjort det här själv) så får man automatiskt ett skäl i varpen (när den lååååånga öglan vänder runt pinnen som man förmodligen har satt upp för just det ändamålet) när man varpar på det här sättet - färdigt att hänga upp i vävstolen.

Nu undrar jag bara om jag har fått det rätt. Är det alltså så att man så att säga "väver in" varpen i bandet (ungefär som om man skulle väva ett vanligt brickvävt, enfärgat, förutsatt att tyget är det, band, men att man förlängde den ena sidan på ett dubbelt inslag?)? Är det någon som förstår vad jag menar? Eller kanske till och med kan förklara hur man gör så att jag vet om det jag tänker mig är rätt eller inte?

Är det någon som kan hjälpa mig, eller förstå och säga om jag tänkt rätt så skulle jag bli görglad.
