Varför har man inte mer pälskläder på bilder om det nu var billigare än tyg, borde det inte vara vanligare?

Även på medeltiden fanns det förutfattade meningar om olika saker. Man kanske inte kände sig klädd utan tyg. Fast som Wobbeke visade är det vanligt med pälsfoder i bildmaterialet. Man ville väl ha det dyra fina tyget ytterst, och gömma den billigare pälsen.

Jag har kjortlar jag inte använt mycket som är rätt slitna i fållen.
Även fast man är rik har man inte riktigt råd att slita så mycket skinn (tänk att det ska gå hela den stora vidden nertill också). Har man råd att slita fin päls har man väl råd att slita kjortel också? Är det itne troligare att man tagit något billigt tyg, oblekt linne (som ju är lite grått till färegen) eller ofärgat ylle (som ofta är grått)?

Jost Amman heter konstnären till bilden, han föddes i Zurich men flyttade till Nuremberg 1561. Den är ifrån en bok som heter Ständebuch från 1568.

Tar med mig bokskrället på fredagsmys imorgon för en Wobbeke skulle dit och det kan inte finnas så många fler Wobbeke.

jag anser annars att studier av senare plagg kan ge kunskap om tidigare också. om trenden fortsätter och den kan länkas till tidigare plagg bör ju detta i sig ge lite ledtrådar.
fast med en ny tråd kan man gotta sig rejält i lite bilder på plaggen också kanske. (vill gärna se bilder!)

En av skinnklockorna i boken jag nämner ovan gjordes 1844 och ägdes av en välbärgad lantbrukarhustru som hette Marna Hansdotter från Sövestad. Just hennes skinnklocka hade liv i mörkblå brokad. Antar att det är sidenbrokad de menar och jag tycker att det ser ut som det på bilderna. Huruvida det var vanligt eller ej kan jag ej besvara.

Just pälsdelen på hennes ser ut att vara färgad med koschenill eftersom den är ganska ceris i färgen. Vadmalen är betydligt mera tomteröd.
Just på hennes är den ofärgade skinndelen minimal, ser ut att vara kanske 4-5 cm max innan den färgade delen tar vid.

*konstaterar att ibland är jag ganska korkad*
Jag har ju den helt förträffliga boken Fårskinn; Beredning, Sömmnad, Traditioner av Katarina Ågren och Karin Lundholm. ISBN: 91-534-0831-4
I den står det ganska mycket om skinnkjolar/klockor.
Låt mig veta om ni (Wobbeke främst för det är ju din tråd) är intresserade av att jag summerar lite ur den?
