Med en vikt på ca 7-8 kilo, äkta vadmal, hel längd; den tar nog det mesta men jag har bara använt den att sitta på ännu. Skaffar du riktig vadmal så är den tät mot vinden och tål vatten en stund. Du behöver alls inte fodra den heller. Kan vara bra att ha en sådan efter ceremonierna. Tror väl ännu att Harry´s arbetskläder har denna svenska äldre vadmalen.
En fotnot är även att mycket material inte är garanti mot köld. När en gång kölden kommer igenom t.ex. rustning med vaddering och allt så är det för sent. Mängden material är ju nerkylt. Jag råkade ut för detta i en skog utanför Stockholm då jag satt för länge i rustning
Man bör hellre ha mindre på sig och röra sig för att reglera temperatur.

Ett SCA event gjorde att jag plötsligt stod i just -24 grader vid Wiks slott. Gotlandsdrickan frös, bussens kylsysten frös, men inte jag..
I hosor och underbyxor av linne, underskjorta av linne, tunn ylle dräkt med tunn mantel (allt kopia av original bockstensman), och stövlar som är förlängd variant av bockstensmanens. Där stod jag som en utomjordling och undrade. Min vanliga trelagers goretexjacka och 1000 kronors supersyntettröja fixar inte det kan jag säga.
Därmed inte sagt att man skall riskera ett bröllop med mina erfarenheter. Gör tvärtom mot mig är mit råd. Kör kung Bore anfaller stil med halm i kängorna. Ha den klänning du helst vill, men ha en rejäl mantel att svepa om dig sedan, gärna fårskinn!
