och med tecknet sytt på bröstet.
Funderar nämligen på att göra min coat-of-plates i tjock sammet, och då ev. brodera en heraldisk "patch" eller rent av direkt på sammetstyget över hjärtat.

Vad jag vet är i alla fall att många seriösa reenactors har egna märken på sina sköldar. Om du tar det ett steg längre och även broderar märket på dina kläder skulle nog de flesta tycka att det var coolt.

är det då godkänt att ha på surcoat och ev sköld under ett evenemang, eller
ska det vara helt HK. Och om man då ska kunna bära heraldiska kännetecken, rent vara historiska förlagor på personer som funnits då?

Låter mycket kul faktiskt.
Vet inte om det har med romantisering av torneringar,eller om det är fakta, men jag har för mig att riddarens "dam" hade någon form av kännetecken från sin herre på sin person.

Frågan egentligen är väl om det är ej historiskt korrekt att komma med eget vapen på surcoat/sköld? Det är ju ändå återskapning som man pysslar med.

Jag utgår infrån en bild (målad 1335-1340) föreställande en riddare och hans två (!) damer, där damerna har både sitt eget vapen och riddarens vapen uppförstorat på sin surcoat. Förutom den har jag sett iaf två ytterligare bilder på surcoter med heraldiska vapen.

er återskapning heradiska kännetecken i någon utsträckning?

Satt på biblan i veckan och fastnade i en liten bok om heraldik och dess utforming regler osv.
Funderar mer och mer på att göra ett utkast på en sköld att själv bära vid evenemang.
