Her har de mer aktive figurene i bildet kortere jakke, og viser tydelig brokene, mens de som ser mer velstående ut bærer lengre kjortler eller overkjortler over de korte jakkene. Jeg vet dessverre ikke når bilder er fra.
Men vi har vel kilder på codpiece som er festet direkte på skilte (ikke ihopsydde) hoser?

Gällandes så korta jackor att brokorna syns under sent 1300-tal, innan de hopsydda hosorna kommer, så verkar det vara ganska dåligt med det i bildmaterialet, hur vanligt är det i över huvud taget?

Annars är de väl som VikingR säger.. det är alltid problem med kall å fuktig mark.

Jag får väl säga att min erfarenhet av hopsydda hosor är begränsad och jag gjorde ett allmänt populärt antagande om dem. Jag sulle dock vidhålla att landsknektarnas kläder inte är kända för sin praktiska funktion.

Jo, det är en grej jag funderat över. På många reenactors synes folk med de korta jackorna från slutet av 1300-tal, men såpass lågt skurna hosor att stora delar av brokorna syns. Blir inte detta ett problem t.ex. om man skall sätta sig på kall eller fuktig mark, med enbart ett lager linne mellan röven och underlaget?

Jag skulle själv aldrig använda kortare hosor till kortare tröja eller kjortel så att brokorna syns för mycket. Mina delade hosor gör jag därför ganska högt skurna

De har även längre kjortlar när de bär dessa hosor. Men det där är ett problem vi ser redan på sena 1300talet, när våra doubler visar mer broka än jag skulle vilja. Istället för att svara generellt svarar jag: Titta på biler från tiden. Då ser du vilka kläder som bars med varandra.

Rent allmänt kan man nog tänka sig att 'modekläder' mest var en företeelse för städer. Speciellt då de hopsydda hosorna som är lite svårare att sy och inte så jättebra att arbeta i.

Men eftersom jag inte har en aning om vilka grupper du refererar till så har jag heller ingen aning om hur seriösa de är i sitt återskapande. Jag har sett grupper som inte alltid tar så seriöst på det hela. De prioriterar andra delar i det hela.
