Tack och lov lär jag mig av mina misstag och andras hjälpsamhet. =)

Jag har tittat en del på Evas verk. Är jag dum, som ickehistoriker vilken inte kan motivera varför hon gör som hon gör, om jag syr chainsen (?) i färgat linne, eller är jag dummare om jag gör den vit?

Vix Hq: Jag kan tyvärr inte se din bild, men Bliaut files är jag bekant med och det är inte samma konstruktion, och det färdiga resultatet har inte så vansinnigt mkt gemensamt. Den på Bliaut files har ju livdel och överärm separat, inte i ett stycke som den jag talar om. Är kass på det här med bilder och internet, annars kunde jag lagt ut en bild på skissen.

Jag har skaffat mig en del koll på hur en bliaut tros ha varit gjord, men frågan är egentligen mer om man alls sydde kläder med den typen av konstruktion som Korps sömnadsbeskrivning talar om.
Ska försöka förklara: klänningens fram- och bakstycke klipps ut med svagt utställd kjoldel, livet avsmalnande upp mot axeln, men innan man kommer så långt svänger den ut i en kort ärm vars överdel är i samma linje som axeln, helt rak. Sedan sys den stora svepande underdelen av ärmen fast vid den korta ärmen.
Klarnade det eller blev det bara värre?:)

Det är åtminstone det som brukar ses som en klassisk 1100-talsklänning - livet är längre än vanligt och rynkas ihop över magen med snörning i sidorna (bilden är hämtad från [url="http://bliautlady.50megs.com/"]The Bliaut Files[/url] där det finns mer teorier kring den här typen av plagg; Eva har också ett par varianter av bliauter på sin [url="http://web.comhem.se/~u31138198/costumegallery.html"]hemsida[/url]).

Den ska sys av två enbart 2 stycken med minst 4 kilar. Ärmarna är tvådelade: stor svepande nederdel och en tight överdel jag inte stött på tidigare. Överärmarna är nämligen i ett stycke med resten av klänningen. Inga klippta ärmhål alltså.
Jösses vad jag förklarar virrigt, fattar knappt själv vad jag skriver...![:)] Någon som förstår vad jag menar och vet om det finns något HK i modellen?
