Birgittas "coif"]]> enligt Dick Harrison i boken han skrev om pesten (kommer inte ihåg titeln) var judeförföljelser vanliga redan under medeltiden eftersom de utpekades som smittspridare. så ska man vara korrekt ska man alltså inte använda sig av huvudbonader som inte hör hemma i den kristna kulturen, om det nu är den man vill återskapa (och det gör ju jag). min gissning är också att det på kyrkomålningarna som länkades här ovan visas huvudbonader som inte ansågs riktigt korrekta eller fina. någonstans har jag läst att de kvinnor som ansågs lösaktiga förbjöds att ha vissa typer av färger/material på dok/slöja för att det tydligt skulle framgå vad för sort man var. den här "spaningen" ger vid handen att människan alltid visat kulturell tillhörighet i sin klädedräkt i allmänhet och kanske i huvudbonaden i synnerhet, antagligen har vi rätt både när vi tror på variationer i dräktskick liksom när vi förespråkar en mer enkelspårig uttolkning.
snibb verkar i alla fall höra hemma hos den Onde, och hur roligt det än såg ut att rida på den där stocken med herr Bockfot får det allt bli sedesam coif och något enklare dok över på nästa tillställning.
snart kanske jag lyckas lägga in en bild på något också... :D

Djingis Khan, de knutna huvudbonaderna skall tydligen vara judiska. Det var Else-Marie Gutarp som tog upp det på en föreläsning efter att hon själv fått tillsägelse (det finns ju med en knuten huvudbonad i "Hurusom man sig klädde")
När jag i efterhand tittat efter det så är det uteslutande judinnor som bär det speciella knutdoket så även om jag inte har någon förstahandskälla känns det väldigt rimligt.

Jag ar inte hundra pa detta, eftersom jag har sett knutna huvuddukar pa kvinnor som troligen inte ar judar. Nu har jag mina anteckningar om detta undanlagda, eftersom jag inte sysslat med medeltida kladedrakt pa over tva ar nu (men nu ar skrivandet over, sa nu kan jag borja vara pysslig igen). Jag fick hora kopplingen till judendom av Desiree Koslin pa nagon medeltidsveckeforelasning, och vad jag kan minnas sa hanvisade hon till nagon kollega i USA. Jag far val gora ett projekt av att samla ihop bildkallor, sa kan vi kolla vad som verkar troligast.

Och vet nagon hur man knyter dem, sa hor av er.

Jag har dessutom sjukt tjockt hår så mina flätor står ut som Pippis, fastän det utsläppt räcker ner på mer än halva ryggen.
