Hej!
Sitter här och funderar på om man ska ge sig på att impregnera manteln med något. Det är ju alltid bra att vara förberedd,i händelse av regn menar jag [:D] min fråga går nu ut på vad man kan tänkas impregnera med. Man får väll anta att de redan på den tiden hade koll på olika ämnen som höll vätan ur kläderna. Fettet i ullen (om man hade yllemantel) borde väll tvättats bort i tillverkningen, eller? [8)] Nån som har koll?

Lanolin ska tydligen även finnas på spray/pumpflaska för jag håller på att du återfettar den.

Enligt "regelboken för ullkläder" ska de inte tvättas, utan bara hängas ut å vädra för att inte det naturliga fettet ska försvinna.
Har du klottat[;)] pårej, ska du bara vänta tills det torkat och borsta av det samt hängas att vädra.

Jag tror knappast att ullkläder tvättades förr, om man nu vill vara HK[:D]

Säckar till matvaror m.m. var nog oftast gjorda av hampa eller tätt vävt linne. Knepet att hålla det torrt är nog att använda krukor och tunnor, inte säckar.

Jag funderade lite över möjligheten att man behövde impregnera linne under medeltiden, vad det gäller kläder kan det väl inte direkt funnits nån orsak? Däremot säckar för förvaring av torra matvaror och liknande, vad tror ni om att man försökte göra dem fuktsäkra? Eller såg man helt enkelt till att förvara dem så bra som möjligt och levde med det ifall det inte lyckades?

Kan dock vara lite svårt att få tag på ylle vävt på det sättet [8)]

Visste faktiskt inte att ylle fortfarande höll värmen när det blev blött. Har liksom bara antagit att det blev kallt och sunkigt som allt annat [:I]
