Angående bältesväskor, nu är vi genast framme på 13-1400-talen! Kvinnor bar inte som män läderväskor direkt i bältet, utan hade små (tyg)påsar hängande från bältet, halvvägs ned på låret ungefär. På detta vis går det utmärkt att ha en tight åtsittande överklänning på sig, utan att för den delen få märkliga bucklor kring midjan!

Vad kvinnor har skulle jag mera klassificera som pungar. Dessa bärs i relativt långa (rundflätade?) snören, fästade i bältet, och hamnar någonstans i knähöjd. Bärs ovanpå mellanklänningen, och nås genom fickslitsar i överklänningen. Tyvärr har jag inga bra bildreferenser i huvudet. Om du orkar leta igenom Maciejowski-bibeln (http://www.medievaltymes.com/courtyard/ ... _bible.htm), så finns det ett antal där.

Den kan också vara utan öppningen i sidan, som en stor tygtub alltså. Den här varianten av dräkt har också använts i norden - i Danmark hittade man den sk Huldremosepeplosen i en mosse. Det är i alla fall vad man tror att det är. Den är från 200-talen e.Kr. om jag minns rätt och finns utställd på Natinalmuseum i Köpenhamn. Peplosliknande klänningar brukar också vara det som man menar att kvinnor klädde sig fram till åtminstone folkvandringstid (ca 450-550 e.Kr.). I Finland har man hittat rester av kläder från Vikingatid som också har den här konstruktionen.

Vad är en peplos för nåt?
Var hittar man mönster på en "kappa"? (Tightare mantel med ärmar...?!? Stod förklarat bra i en annan tråd. Ungefär vilken period användes dessa?)
Hur funkar det med bältesväska under tight överklänning? Eller blir klänningen presis lagom vid i midjan för att få plats med väskan. (Vilken period användes bältesväska under överklänningen. Eller, när började och slutade man med detta...)

Frågar man inget får man ingenting veta! [;)]
