Och när man klipper kilar på mitten av styckena, klipper man dem lodräta eller en aning sneda (så att man kommer åt lättare med händerna)?

Är det någon som sett exempel på att man dekorerat slitsarna på utsidan på något sätt? T.ex med band eller broderier.

Då har jag förstått det så att man kan dels lägga slitsen i sömmen mellan fram-ochfrämresidstyckerna (enklast)... eller klippa upp tyget där man vill ha dem.
Om man nu väljer att klippa upp tyget... är passpolierade ficköppningar att ens fundera på? eller har man förstärk tyget på annat sätt. Ni skrev om linne/sidenförstärkning - kan ni förklara lite närmare?

Har du något belägg för att kvinnor under medeltiden faktiskt gjorde så, eller tycker du bara att det verkar praktiskt? Jag har letat en del efter medeltida bilder på ammande kvinnor, men aldrig sett den varianten. Jag skulle vara mycket tacksam för en bild.
