Även visir och bröstplåtar omnämns i orginaltexten om jag inte minns fel, texten är helt klart värd att studera...

(På kongshirdens hemsida så finns en översättning på modern norska och där så är 'visiret' mycket riktigt ersatt med en ansiktsplåt.

Det jag dock verkligen skulle vilja veta är vad det står i originaltexten (exempelvis i avsnittet om hur man ska vara rustad vid strid till häst) där det i översättningen står "blackened linen cloth" Är det här måhända samma typ av "swärtadho lärifft". som nämns i den fornsvenska översättningen av Birgittas uppenbarelser
