Vilken/vilka tidsperiod/er fäste man huvan direkt på "kroppen" på brynjan?

Gjorde man överhuvud taget så?

Bynjor med integrerade huvor verkar ha förekommit mellan 1000-talet och början av 1300-talet. I början och i slutet av denna tidsperiod var lösa huvor också vanliga.

Så då borde jag inte vara helt fel ute om jag tänkt mig ca 1250?

hur var det med s.k. "bishops mantles" användes de eller är det en konstuktion av våra tiders dräktmakare? (det brukar nämligen vara så med det jag tycker ser bra ut :) )

Biskopsmantlar förekommer främst med en stadig krage i ringbrynja till 1400-talsrustningar men var även vanliga bland landsknektar på 1500-talet. Se tex: http://www.st-max.org/images/woodcuts/weber.jpg
